Imagine a quick getaway from everyday life - just 4 days - returning home with your head clear and your dreams haunted by the vision of a spectacular train journey through the Canadian Rockies.

These mountains -- immense and jagged - are always magnificent, and this trip is the quickest way to experience both the mountains and the multicultural metropolis of Vancouver.

You will also travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer, undoubtedly one of the most spectacular Rocky Mountain train journeys in the world.

YOUR ITINERARY
(Eastbound shown - Westbound is the same, in reverse)

Day 1 – Canadian Rockies Train Trip Begins - Arrive in Vancouver
You can’t help but relax as soon as you arrive in the west coast city of Vancouver. Surrounded by mountains and ocean, the air is fresh, the ambiance cool, and the residents friendly. Scents from all around the world entice: Japanese sushi, Chinese kung pao, Indian curries. Multiculturalism comes alive in the food.

Day 2 – On the Rocky Mountaineer – from Vancouver to Kamloops
The gentle ‘chug-chug-chug’ begins as your Rocky Mountain bound train pulls out of the station. The sweet smell of fresh fruit and orange juice wafts through your carriage. Step onto the outdoor viewing platform for unobstructed photos and cool breezes. Early in the evening - after a day of good food, great company, and awe-inspiring scenery - the Rocky Mountaineer arrives in the mountain town of Kamloops, for your overnight stay.

Day 3 – On the Rocky Mountaineer – into the Rocky Mountains
This morning return to your train for the final leg of your journey into the Canadian Rockies. The onboard guide teaches you about the important history of the Canadian railroad and the colorful characters who built it. Before you realize, you are surrounded by the snow capped Canadian Rocky mountains and have arrived in the bustling town of Banff.

Day 4 – In the Canadian Rockies – Explore Banff
Take in the sights, scents and sounds of this charming mountain town. A guided tour shows you the highlights; explore the town on your own and find your favourite places. A trip to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is a must. This is where you’ll find that fudge you’ve been smelling all day.

With your fudge in hand you travel through the foothills of the Rockies and into Calgary as your Canadian Rockies train trip comes to an end.
